Background and Experience

Leigh is a Certified Practicing Engineer, Commercial Pilot and an award winning Project Director. He specialises in a comprehensive range of areas, including: PMO assessment, establishment & improvement, service oriented architecture, data centre construction, rules engines & expert systems, and systems integration.

Leigh initially worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer then progressed through Project Management roles and was a partner in several Engineering Consulting companies commencing at the age of 31 with Resource Group Pty. Ltd. With roles as Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Senior Project Manager, Transition Manager, Project Director, Global Project Director, Project Executive, Consulting and Services Manager and Managing Director across many organisations, Leigh has extensive management, learning & development, executive and executive coaching, and leadership skills.

In searching for leadership excellence, Leigh has acted in senior positions in community groups including a wide range of executive and leadership positions such as: President of Weightlifting Clubs, Monash Engineering Student Society, Waverley Junior Football Association, Wesley College Glen Waverley Parents’ Association, Point Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club. He has also been Chairman of Selectors Melbourne Cricket Club Squash Section, the Life Saving Victoria Presidents Forum, the Queenscliff Point Lonsdale Community Enterprise Grants Sub-committee; and the Victorian Centre for Engineering Leadership and Management.

As a member of the AIPM PMO SIG (Australian Institute of Project Management Project Management Office Special Interests Group) Leigh has developed extensive experience with assessing and improving PMOS and has presented on several topics at national project management and engineering conferences.

Leigh brings a wealth of community and professional experience to personal and leadership development and provides this unusual perspective to both coaching and development.
