Background and Experience

Sherryn has extensive experience in human resources, leadership and high-performance coaching across Corporate, Travel, Hospitality and Not-For-Profit organisations over the past 20 years which she complemented by; volunteering in prisons, working with people with disabilities, teaching English in Thailand and volunteering in Tanzania.

She combines compassion, empathy and insight in her role as a passionate advocate for individual and team empowerment, supporting organisational growth and profitability through the creation of diverse and inclusive cultures.

Sherryn started her Human Resources career with an International Hotel chain in New Zealand and Australia, working in highly demanding resort hotels. Then she became Regional Human Resources Manager in Europe for Urban Science (a boutique Business/IT Consultancy company) and Indochina for Intrepid Travel. She was responsible for training and developing local business leaders to support the alignment and integration of international people management policies, procedures and operating standards to build a collaborative team culture across a variety of local (and sometimes conflicting) countries.

Sherryn coordinated its first European conference which included the challenges of bringing together over 100 employees from 7 countries, conducting comprehensive regional compensation reviews ensuring competitive packages enhanced employee engagement, leading recruitment and performance management of line staff through to country General Managers, and co-ordinating redundancies in both regions and a company restructure in Indochina.

Eventually having experienced burnout first hand, Sherryn shifted her focus to fine-tuning her coaching and mentoring skills with a special interest in championing women so as to help them build successful careers and increase their level of influence and impact. All this without excessive overwhelm, exhaustion and stress negatively impacting their performance, health or relationships.
