Overall, an American study found a 386% return to the business when investing in leadership development, while another worldwide study found a direct correlation between investing in leadership and delivering results to the shareholders.  In fact it could be argued that the management/ leadership balance is not quite right, as there seems to be a wealth of management and scarcity of leadership (Level 4-7 associated behaviours) in the world.
