The UHM is a model that integrates a very wide range of sub-modal typologies such as; MBTI®, Temperament Theory, TMI, MTR-iTM (Management Team Roles Indicator), HBDI, MajorsTM Personality Type Inventory , DiSC, Enneagram, People Types, Kolb’s Learning Styles, Benziger Brain Mode, 4-MAT Learning Styles, The Five Factor Model [OCEAN], Jung’s Four Functions, Tuckman’s Model, Situational Leadership, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, Farey’s Leadership Style Matrix, Landsberg’s, Coaching Style Matrix, The Learning Cycle, Managerial Grid Model, Hay-McBer Leadership Styles, Birkman® Career Management, Optimism Tests and Johari’s Window). Therefore the UHM Report can be used wherever these instruments are being used with greater effect because it integrates them all.
In particular some of the examples of how it can be used by organizations, or personally, are:
- To raise individual self-awareness and give insight into the specific actions that might be required to strengthen personal development.
- To provide data on how to help the participant develop best.
- To provide group or organizational data on capability gaps/development areas which can be used to target training interventions for the team/group.
- To help provide non-threatening developmental feedback information and support executive coaching.
- To help individuals leverage off their strengths which generally makes for a happier workforce.
- To help to identify possible future roles and careers.
- To help with Organizational Development interventions by increasing the understanding of the culture of groups within organizations.
- To compare individuals across organizations and national boundaries.
- To help understand organizational success profiles.
In particular it can be used to build on other psychometric or typological development interventions, such as the MBTI, where it can provide the basis for accentuating learnings and taking these to a higher level.
